DRIVING COMPETENCE ASSESSMENT

RDSL is a safety oriented and carries out driving assessments with safety in mind. We can help in managing the driving risk aspect for your business by monitoring the driving performance of your driving employees through driving assessments. The assessment covers the following areas (and not limited to these areas):-

Pre-trip inspection
Observance of Road signs
Vehicle control while on the road
Driving in traffic and road Maneuvers – overtaking, turning, slowing etc.

Approach to roundabout, junctions, and pedestrian crossing
Knowledge of Highway code
Car care (Sympathy)
Attitude and Behavior on road

Our well trained Inspectors use standard industrial approaches to ensure the fitness of vehicles for transportation purpose. Our checklist highlights major vehicular areas for scrutiny to make sure vehicles are safe and road worthy. The safety inspections cover the following among many others:-

• Reduce the collision rate of the fleet
• Reduce the risk of harm – driving is one of the highest risk activities employees undertake on behalf of the organization.
• Comply with the legislation associated with driving, especially the traffic act and Highway Code.
• Help meet their Corporate Social Responsibility
• Reduce the direct and uninsured losses associated with each collision.

After the assessment, RDSL will prepare an independent report of findings indicating driving competence status, safe practices and actions for the employee. The client organization may choose to address areas of weaknesses (if any) for the employee who fails the test through remedial training. The Option for testing at night is available. RDSL will be available to carry out the assessments in-situ.
